Hysteroscopy is a method of minimally invasive examination of the uterine cavity using hysteroscope, followed by (if necessary) diagnostic and surgical procedures.
Hysteroscopy allows detecting and eliminating intrauterine pathology, removing foreign bodies, taking tissue biopsy, removing endometrial polyps. There are surgical procedures available for removing uterine causes of infertility in the process of examination — endometrial polyps, submucous fibroids, hyperplastic lesions of the endometrium, uterine synechia and septum.
